okay. deep breath. here we go
I wasn't planning on writing about this. And I'm not going to discuss the details of the issue but what I am OUTRAGED about. SO ANGRY. Is the response of my generation (and others). People are horrified that Paterno has to step down and worried about what this will do to football....
WHAT ABOUT THE 20+ YOUNG BOYS THAT, THAT MAN RAPED AND ASSAULTED AND ABUSED?! WHAT WILL THIS DO TO THEM? No Paterno did not do it but he KNEW about it and did not CALL THE POLICE. lsjfkdlasfjksalfkjljasflkj alsjkf How can this man be a coach or a leader? I know he is 84 and has had an incredible career. But what he did was WRONG and I am glad that the Penn State Trustees have asked him to resign.
America has a tendency to let celebrities, people in positions of power, and people with money get off the hook. OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson, Lindsay Lohan, Clarence Thomas (hopefully we won't be adding Herman Cain to this list). IT is time that the judicial system shows the people of America that kililng your girlfriend, raping little boys, stealing, and sexual assault etcetcetc are NEVER OKAY. no matter WHO you are.
okay so i got a little more into it than i was planning but thats what a blog is for. right?

Detroit GOP Debate pt 2
Also, I forgot to mention that as much as I don't like Herman Cain (for the obvious reasons) I am impressed with his campaigning skills. HE started out as a joke to the political world. A guy with NO, literally zero, political experience was running for President. "haha lets all watch him suffer." Then he proved himself to be eloquent and intelligent and people starting listening. AND THEN he introduced his 9 9 9 economic policy and the Republicans went wild putting him FIRST in the polls.
So as much as I dislike the man...hats off to you Mr. Cain (or skirts off...because I know you prefer that)

Detroit GOP Debate
So the GOP debated in Detroit today...Here are the highlights
Cain: began by addressing the sexual assault allegations and claiming that it is an assassination and that his voters will not care about it. I'm going to call a MAJOR BS on this. We are talking about the CONSERVATIVES right? uuuuuuuuuuuugggggghhhhhhhhh go back to selling pizzas.
Romney: Confronted the issue of being a "flip flopper" by stating that he is a true republican and he would stay faithful to his party if elected.
Perry: stumbled over his lines and could not remember the 3 agencies that he would cut if he were elected. Time to throw in the towel buddy.
Huntsman: Personally I don't mind Huntsman but the Republicans have a problem with him because he used to work for Obama and they think he's too moderate (maybe that's why i don't hate him...)
Paul: he's still alive but barely
Gringrich: go home.
Michelle Bachman: ew
Santorum: who?
The only thing that was good about the debate was that they spent their time attacking obama instead of themselves. It shows that the Republican party is uniting and that is the only way they can win this election. I'm glad they have stopped (for now) attacking each other but also scared because they CANNOT win in 2012.
I was thinking the other day about the election and how crazy it has gotten and how we still have A YEAR of this crap (and i hate that word) before the actual vote. AYYY DIOS MIO

i'm bAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAckkkkk
inspired by all the crazy ness in Washington...I'm back.
Herman Cain
Mississippi
Ohio
SO MANY THINGS!
Herman Cain-you are guilty. you are the next Clarence Thomas but this time the sleezeball will not win.
Mississippi-THANK THE LORD. You had me holding my breath there for a little bit. Personhood amendment? holy cow. the most controversial legislation regarding abortion since roe v. wade. LUCKILY for women (and men) everywhere they did not vote to pass it which would have basically illegalized abortion. Is that a word? probably not. whatever! I'm too excited!
Ohio- Now im not that familiar with the economic side of this but what i DO know is that the passage to repeal this act has allowed teachers, union workers, police officers and the like to bargain for higher salaries. HOORAY. the people who protect us and work for us to make our lives safer and our children smarter!
more will come!
also to put our lives in perspective...i just finished a paper on infant killings in Ethiopia. Where tribes put their newborns to death if they are born "cursed". Yikes!

2012
I have been wary to give into this whole mayan apocalypse but if the US politics continue in this manner maybe the world WILL end in 2012
